EJN is a Student Organization, aiming to spread the awareness of disasters in Japan through English.
EJNは近い将来来るであろう地震に備え防災啓発活動を日本在住の外国人の方々へ英語で行う団体です。

Founder of the Organization
団体設立者
Taiyo Mitsuoka
Taiyo grew up in a bilingual environment at home, under the influence of his American father, and his Japanese mother.
He is native in both English and Japanese.
Prior to attending a Japanese school in his middle school years, Taiyo went to the United States alone, to attend a dormitory high school.
Due to the influence of Corona however, Taiyo returned to Japan, and transferred to an international school in Tokyo.
Mr. Mitsuoka is currently a member of the "Forest of Life with a View of the Sea Student Committee" in the Miyagi Prefecture, and works hard as a volunteer.
Mr.Mitsuoka also acquired a license as a disaster prevention officer, in May 2021.
アメリカ出身の父の影響で家庭内で英語、日本語の環境で育つ。
日英バイリンガル。
三田国際学園中学３年生の時単身アメリカへ渡り寮制の高校へ入学。
コロナの影響で緊急帰国し留学を中断し、都内のインターナショナルスクールへ転校。
現在は宮城県南三陸町「海の見える命の森」学生委員会に所属し、減災伝承活動のボランテイアに励む。
今年５月に防災士の資格を取得。
Background and purpose of establishing the organization
団体設立の経緯
I belong to the student committee of the "Forest of Life with a View of the Sea" project that supports the reconstruction of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and I am involved in the promotion of the disaster mitigation tradition program.
The Student Committee achieved the target amount by cloud funding to raise funds for the project, and succeeded in raising funds. With the support of foreign-affiliated companies, I realized the need for disaster prevention activities in English.
There are many foreigners living in Japan who have never experienced an earthquake. We will carry out the Japanese evacuation activities to foreign-affiliated companies, international schools, etc. in English, and strive to improve disaster prevention knowledge in order to protect loved ones in the event of an emergency.
東日本大震災復興支援の「海見える命の森」プロジェクトの学生委員会に所属し、減災伝承プログラムの普及活動に携わっております。
学生委員会ではプロジェクトの資金調達の為クラウドファンデイングで目標額を達成し、資金調達に成功しました。 外資系企業からもご支援頂き、その中で英語での防災活動の必要性に気づかされました。
日本在住の外国人の方々には地震を体験した事のない方々も沢山いらっしゃいます。 外資系企業、インターナショナルスクール等への防災普及活動を英語で行い、いざと言う時に愛する人を守るべく防災知識向上の為に努めてまいります。

我々はこの森を有志とボランティアの共同作業で整備してきました。この整備にはまだまだ時間と人手が必要と思っています。皆さんと体験プログラムを通して、共にこの森の整備をしていけば、参加者皆さんの森ともなるでしょう。ぜひ皆さんのお力をお貸しください。
